The One-Night, Two-Day Camel Safari Trip begins in the morning (08:00 AM Winter / 07:00 AM Summer) to drive 50 KM into the desert by Jeep.
Upon arrival in the Village you will be introduced to your guide and camels. Your guide will show you how to mount your camel and how to comfortably ride it through the desert. Camels will be packed with foods, blankets and everything important which we will need for our trip. This trek into the desert will take 1.5 to 2 hours.
Around 12 PM we will then stop at a shady area for lunch and rest. We will prepare lunch and you can rest, explore independently or play music/cards for 2 to 3 hours.
Around 3:00 PM you will start your trip again to deep in the desert. Near to sunset time we will arrive at our private sand dunes. On the high dunes you can enjoy the sunset with tea (Masala Chai).
We will spend the night in the middle of the Thar Desert. This will be great opportunity to take lovely pictures of the sunset and sunrise in the desert. It will be a magical night when the sky is clear and we can watch stars.
During the evening there will be a delicious vegetarian dinner cooked on a campfire. After dinner, you can spend your evening talking about the day around the campfire and looking up at the magnificent stars in the night sky. We will go to sleep on top of the dunes, under the stars in the open sky, on a comfortable cot with clean sheets and blankets.
The next morning, after Sunrise, you will enjoy a generous breakfast before the tour continues.
8:00 to 12:00 noon – You will experience the desert environment and a get a glimpse of the desert vegetation and exotic creatures on the sand. There are two villages you may visit if you wish.
12:00 to 3:00 pm – Lunch and rest in the shade of the trees
3:00pm to 5:00 pm You can enjoy camel riding and galloping along the way while returning to the campsite. You will be then be taken by Jeep back to Jaisalmer to continue your journey.
